Upcoming Partial Road Closure – 27th January to 21st March 2025

Fernham Homes would like to inform you of an upcoming partial road closure to undertake essential highway enhancement works. These works are part of our S278 agreement with Highways and will include:

  • Installation of new foul drainage connections
  • Grounding of existing overhead cables
  • Construction of new footpaths, streetlights, and Toucan crossing
  • Anti-friction road surfacing*

Key Information:

  • Planned Partial Closure Dates: 22nd January to 21st March 2025
  • Access: Emergency vehicles, road traffic and residents will have access at all times
  • Highways Approved Traffic Management Plan: Traffic management in place on North Street (opp playing field exit, to Haven Close)

Should anything change throughout the duration of the works, we will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible of any alterations to the planned closure dates.

We understand and appreciate this closure may cause some inconvenience and we apologise for any disruption. Rest assured, we aim to complete the works as quickly and efficiently as possible.

*Please note, due to the nature of the works. Highways have specified that the anti-friction surfacing will require a separate closure, which we anticipate undertaking during the school summer holidays in 2025 and we will keep you updated as plans progress closer to the time.
